Fine Art - Photography Research. Unit 57 Mr cooper.

What is fine art?
 Introduction:
We had to research fine art and find out information on fine art and we had to find photos to describe our favourite fine art images. I learnt that it is easy to research fine art as it is so well respected. I liked this task as it will help me choose other photos in the future.

Fine art is about an Idea or a message which you are trying to get across to the person looking at the image. For example, the photographer may use one simple word such as,' Love' to convey what they are trying to tell the audience. The image has to tell a story using similarities.
For example, if the photograph got into a gallery there would have to a technique used to make it get into the museum; which impresses people to visit the masterpeice.

Example of fine art:

This picture of fine art conveys a story about religion. It creates a story portraying,' We are all the same', due to their tribal art work.

This photo shows many leaves, the photo portrays a jungle covered in nature.

This photo conveys a story behind the human face, it shows that inside the human face is who we are.

Key Photographs:

This is a key photograph as it has colour against a dark background portraying flowers are alive but also die.

This is another key photograph which conveys a story of darkness, a person experiencing war and being taken away. Her facial expressions show her frustration.

This photograph also shows a key photograph of fine art, it portrays an elegant lady, but her face is seen as being mixed with an animal. Therefore, the photo proves humans and animals are all part of the life cycle.

This photo tells a story of tourism in New York City, it shows the chaotic atmosphere. Also, it shows the tall buildings and lights with the taxis and the human race against the backdrop of the polluted air. This tells a story of a city which does not stop to rest it is always busy.

What do you think of this Genre?
I think this genre is a fantastic genre as it shows a story and portrays it so vividly. Also, I love how a symbol can represent a story being told, for example the colourful flowers against the dark backdrop show life has its stages of being alive and die ing. Also, I feel this genre lets the audience experience their own feelings whilst reflecting on what you see in the images. Fine art can show a story any way the artist wants it to be conveyed to the audience. Therefore, this genre is an amazing genre as you can show your feelings about anything from a word to a city through photography. This photo portrays that one minute a ballon can be up and flowing in the wind,  then all of a sudden it can pop; and helium can go into the atmosphere causing more pollution. This photo shows a story which explains a dog never changes its spots which also states a human never changes her spots. Therefore, this photo tells a story of a animal and a human being the same in life.

This photo tells a story of a mother ironing her daughters hair as there use to be no hair straighteners many years ago. Therefore, the story is showing the audience that daily utensils have to do instead of technology which we have now a days.
