Unit 57: Mr Cooper: Assignment 1: Task 2: Photojournalism, Fine Art, Advertising









Photojournalism: 3 Best Images.

Image 1: This meets the catagory of photojournalism, as it shows history being marked. A solider in the army celebrating becoming a fully qualified solider with his family, this shows a happy side towards photojournalism as it shows photojournalism is not just about sad times it also looks into the happy times. I feel this photo shows diversity as we respect soldiers who put their life on the front line to protect their people and country. Therefore, this photo meets photojournalism as it is a photo which has captured a history event of soldiers receiving their beret hat to show their achievements in the army.

Image 8: This image meets the category of photojournalism as it shows a memorial site for the children who where killed in the Holocaust. This marks photojournalism so vividly as it portrays the sadness in historical events. This image has real meanness to it as it shows photojournalism captures the history of what has happened in the past. The stones in the image represent so many children who died, which proves photojournalism captures death so rapidly to show the world what people have gone through.


Image 12: This image is a powerful image which relates to the photojournalism catogory so brutally, because this image portrays the millions of people who went into Treblinka Camp in Krakow Poland and never came out; the train tracks symbolise death, they where not going to exit the camp, the train only went one way. Therefore, this proves that photojournalism captures death in the majority of the photos, the weather and darkness in the photos empathise photojournalism.









Fine Art: 3 Best Images.

Image 4: The image of a bird shows that it is in the category of Fine art, as it shows nature at its finest. A photo which shows nature is a piece of Fine art, because it shows the world without a human changing certain things, for example we can not change a bird therefore it is fine art in the world, and nature happens to be in the category of fine art.

Image 6: The red blissful cherries against the dark wood background convey fine art, as it shows a natural fruit on a gloss, wood table top. It fits into the category of fine art as it is shows the photographer looks with the vision of what they want to photograph, they have not put the cherries in place to photograph.

Image 15: The image of the tree situated on a pathway which looks magical, it shows the photographer a story of fine art because it is showing no one has touched anything, it is nature which has occurred so slowly which proves fine art tells a story in a paste of either being slow or fast. For example, a tree takes many years to grow, therefore it is telling a slow story.





Advertising: 3 Best Images:

Image 1: This image highlights the category of advertising because it shows great lighting also including natural lighting. The advertisement is showing a man with his new car and new shoes for summer. This image meets the category as it provides an image showing an advert so vividly. The image shows a focus with the lighting which proves due to the great lighting it is an advertisement photo.

Image 5: This image is of a man in the newest mens ranges of Ray ban Sunglasses, the background of bricks brings out the lighting in the photo and the sunglasses with the tint of blue show the lighting is good. The image fits into the category of advertisment due to the lighting taken into consideration and the image backdrop.

Image 7: This image is showing advertisement of engagement rings so vividly, the dark wooden background with the pink rose petals and dark green leaves proves advertisement due tot he set up of the photo. Also, the ring box has a light which also provides extra light to the image which shows advertisement needs a lot of light to portray the target market into buying something. Therefore, this ring brings out the emphasise on advertisement due to the pink rose petals and lighting.
